This dish is one of my favorites since childhood. I asked for the recipe, my mom explained it and I followed it. This week, I've been to a vegetable market, a mobile one you can say, where they bring veggies in a van, sell for a period of time, and leave. So, I had a chance to buy all my favorite veggies... That's how pepper butter mushrooms and spine gourd fry happened. As soon as I saw a huge basket of fresh dark green capsicums in the vegetable van, I bought it thinking of this recipe. All these days, my mom made this dish, this time, I tried my hands on it and it turned out to be delectable. So, let's start the recipe without any further delay...
To make this recipe, you'll need :
Green capsicum

10 – 11 small size
|
Onion
|
2 medium-sized
|
Chickpea flour/ besan
|
2/3rd cup / 85 grams
|
Turmeric powder
|
1/4th teaspoon
|
Red chili powder
|
1 ½ teaspoon
|
Coriander powder
|
1 ½ teaspoon
|
Jeera powder
|
½ teaspoon
|
Cinnamon and clove powder
|
1/4th teaspoon
|
Dry coconut powder
|
2 teaspoons
|
Ginger – garlic paste
|
1 teaspoon
|
Salt
|
To taste
|
Cilantro
|
Handful chopped
|
Oil
|
2 Tb to mix the stuffing + for frying
|
Method :
1. Let's begin by preparing the stuffing for our capsicums.
2. To the finely chopped onions, add all the ingredients and mix well which includes 2 Tb of oil, and mix well. Taste the mixture add any spice as per your choice.
3. Next, slit the capsicums into quarters and remove the seeds if you wish to have mild.
4. Fill the capsicums with the stuffing.
5. Fry in medium hot oil (medium-low flame) until done.
6. Transfer them on a good quality kitchen towel, kitchen tissues for the oil to absorb.
7. Serve...
